Susan and I enjoy Sunday drives (or almost any other day of the week!), whether just sightseeing or on a photographic excursion, or more often a combination of both. Contact-free, of course.
This past Sunday we took a drive through central Bucks County and came upon a couple of spots I hadn’t seen before. The first was the Rockpoint Church, on Point Pleasant Pike near Doylestown, pictured above. What a beautiful church! It was a perfect time of day to capture the texture of the stone front of the church.
Not too far from there was the Wycombe train station (originally called Lingohocken) in Furlong, PA, which I had also never seen before. It was restored by Bucks County in 2009 and is used occasionally by the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad for their fall foliage tours. The train is part of that railroad, parked on the tracks near the station.
Our drive concluded with pizza from our favorite pizzeria, Gianni’s Pizza, in Richboro, PA. It was a very good day!
