Welcome to Bob’s Blog!
I am a photographer, a graphic designer, a motorcoach operator, a podcaster, and — a writer.
The first three of those occupations were full-time professional careers — not all at the same time, of course. Were it not for the COVID-19 pandemic, I would still be driving motorcoaches all over the US and Canada as I have been the last 17+ years. I’m hopeful that I’ll drive again in the future, but it will be a changed world and we have no idea yet exactly what it will look like.
Podcasting and writing have been passions of mine especially the last couple of years. I currently produce two podcasts, EightWheels Across America for motorcoach operators across the US and Canada, and Bob’s Tech Talk for my friends who share some of my interests in gadgets, technology, photography, Apple products, and more.
While it’s never been a full-time career, I have done some professional writing over the years, too. In the 1990s I wrote a couple of years for a monthly newsletter in the printing industry. And about ten years ago I wrote a monthly column for the motorcoach industry. I’ve also had personal blogs, not unlike this one, on various subjects over the years for short periods of time. They did not survive long term with the competing demands of a full-time career. Only time will tell how this one fares. I plan to post frequently, several times a week, but I’m not going to hold myself to a schedule at this point. Maybe when I grow up I’ll figure out what I want to do with my life. But what fun would that be?
