Trump Wants a Race War
Many of you, I’m sure, are familiar with the name Francis Schaeffer (1912-1984), the evangelical theologian, philosopher, Presbyterian pastor, and prolific evangelical Christian author who wrote more than 20 books in the last half of the twentieth century — titles such as A Christian Manifesto, The God Who Is There, The Mark of the Christian, and How Should We Then Live? Many of his books were in my dad’s library. Unrelated, but an interesting side note, he was born in Philadelphia (Germantown), Pennsylvania, and died in Rochester, Minnesota.
His son, Frank Schaeffer, produced and directed a film/video series based on How Should We Then Live? that I know some of you have seen, as well as a series based on another book, Whatever Happened to the Human Race?
Yesterday Frank posted a short seven minute video in response to what’s happening in our country today, the riots in Minnesota and across the nation, and about Trump’s racism. It’s a strongly worded statement, and, a word of warning to the evangelical right who still supports Trump, you probably won’t appreciate all he has to say. But it’s definitely worth listening to and considering carefully.

Well stated opinion which should, but probably won’t, resonate through the “Christian” community. How can some profess to be Christian when they do not follow the simple tenant that Jesus professed: what you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.

I couldn’t agree more, Jerry! Thanks for your comment.
