Can Your Scissors Walk on Water?

April 5, 2025 by Bob Bergey

Scissors "walking on water."

Over a year ago, one of my sons gifted me a pair of bright yellow–handled scissors. Nothing fancy. But like any good tool that finds its way into a gadget–lover’s heart, these scissors earned a permanent spot on my desk. I use them every day. They’re just the right size, with a comfortable grip and one finely serrated blade—perfect for grabbing and cutting materials that might … [Read more...] about Can Your Scissors Walk on Water?

Happy Earth Day!

April 22, 2022 by Bob Bergey

I took this photo on the very first Earth Day, 52 years ago today, when I was a senior at Pennridge High School in 1970. It was taken from one of Carson's cargo helicopters; Carson Helicopters is based in Hilltown Township (Perkasie, PA address) since 1958. Contrast that to the “good old days” when you took your film to Fotomat or the drug store and waited … [Read more...] about Eight Easy Steps to Improve Your Photography

Sunday Drive

June 6, 2020 by Bob Bergey

Susan and I enjoy Sunday drives (or almost any other day of the week!), whether just sightseeing or on a photographic excursion, or more often a combination of both. Contact-free, of course. This past Sunday we took a drive through central Bucks County and came upon a couple of spots I hadn’t seen before. The first was the Rockpoint Church, on Point Pleasant Pike near … [Read more...] about Sunday Drive
